ADVOCACY WITH IMPACT

This spring, case managers from across the country participated in the 2025 Virtual Hill Visits, engaging in critical conversations with members of Congress and their staff. These sessions elevated the voice of our profession on key issues such as mental health, telehealth and workforce development. CMSA continues to ensure your perspectives are heard at the highest levels, turning passion into policy impact.

EDUCATION DESIGNED FOR TODAY’S CASE MANAGER

In the past year, CMSA has continued to expand its Educational Resource Library, offering over 150 CE courses free to members, spanning today’s most pressing topics—from mental health and case management to leveraging technology to improve your practice. Monthly webinars, and special trainings such as the Case Management Boot Camp in Nashville and the virtual Integrated Case Management course have provided hands-on, applicable skills to elevate real-world performance.

At this conference alone, attendees can earn 75+ CEs, making it the most robust educational opportunity in case management this year.

A DYNAMIC COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

In a significant expansion of member engagement, CMSA has launched multiple Special Interest Groups (SIGs)—each designed to foster meaningful dialogue, targeted collaboration and professional growth among case managers with shared interests and experiences.

• The International SIG (ISIG) connects case managers around the globe, encouraging cross-cultural learning and the exchange of global best practices.
• The Military, Veterans & DoD/DHA SIG (MVD SIG) offers a dedicated space for professionals serving those who serve, addressing the unique challenges and needs within military and veteran case management.
• The Rural SIG supports case managers working in rural and remote settings, where access to resources and care coordination requires innovative approaches and community-driven solutions.

These SIGs reflect CMSA’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, relevance and responsiveness. By providing specialized platforms for engagement, they empower members to connect, collaborate and drive innovation across every corner of our diverse professional landscape.

Our chapters—nearly 50 and counting—continue to offer hyper-local engagement, mentorship and leadership opportunities, building connection and resilience within every region we serve.

COLLABORATION AT THE CORE

Collaboration has always been central to CMSA’s mission—and in the past year, these partnerships have expanded both in depth and impact. By aligning with leading organizations such as ACPA, NTOCC, NOBC, AANLCP, URAC and others, CMSA is not only broadening the value we deliver to our members but also amplifying the voice and visibility of professional case managers across the healthcare continuum.

These partnerships support our ongoing efforts to educate the broader interdisciplinary care team about the vital, outcomes-driven role that case managers play in improving quality, reducing fragmentation and advancing patient-centered care. Through position papers, strategic fact sheets and collaborative initiatives, CMSA is equipping health systems, payers and policymakers with the evidence and tools they need to understand and support the essential contributions of case management.

In a groundbreaking collaboration with PRIME Education, CMSA launched a continuing medical education (CME) activity specifically designed for healthcare providers—a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at educating physicians, nurses and other clinicians on the value of case management in achieving coordinated, efficient and ethical care delivery. This program reinforces CMSA’s commitment to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and making case management an indispensable part of every care team.

Through these efforts, CMSA is building bridges, breaking silos and ensuring that professional case managers are recognized as strategic leaders in transforming healthcare systems and outcomes.
