Innovating, Advocating and Celebrating National Case Management Week 2025

Every October, the case management community pauses to celebrate the professionals who are at the very heart of coordinated, compassionate care. National Case Management Week is more than recognition—it’s a movement that shines a light on the essential role case managers play in navigating complexity, advocating for patients, improving outcomes and ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care.

This year, from October 12–18, 2025, and throughout the entire month of October, CMSA invites you to join us in celebrating Innovate. Advocate. Celebrate Case Management. Together, we’ll honor the profession’s impact while equipping case managers with resources, education, and community to continue leading with excellence.

Why We Celebrate

CMSA established National Case Management Week in 1999 to recognize this vital work. It was placed in October to mark CMSA’s founding on October 10, 1990, and this anniversary is a big one – 35 years! Today, it has become a tradition that not only celebrates individual professionals but also elevates the visibility of the entire field within healthcare. By spotlighting case management, we highlight the values of advocacy, innovation, and compassion that drive better outcomes for patients and communities.

What’s Ahead for CM Week 2025

This year’s celebration offers something for every case manager:

• Storytelling & Connection: Hear powerful “frontline stories” during our kickoff event, hosted by CMSA President Janet Coulter.
• Education & CE Opportunities: Explore timely topics including human trafficking, behavioral health, accessibility, and CM/UM collaboration.
• Networking with Purpose: Connect through Special Interest Groups and share best practices across disciplines.
• New! Virtual Leadership Conference: For the first time, CMSA is offering a fully virtual leadership-focused conference designed to help you grow as a leader in any setting.
• Wellness & Fun: Participate in self-care breaks, interactive challenges, and the CM Week Treasure Hunt for prizes.
